This is the Oakland edition of Global Action’s 5th Annual New Year’s Day Global Clean-up, in which people around the world clean up their communities on the same day. If you are in the Bay, join us on January 1st at 2:00 pm at Lake Merritt’s Amphitheater. We will meet, and then go around the Lake to pick up trash. There will be swag giveaways as well. Charles Holt brings us “Martin & Music” featuring the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and music of the Civil Rights Movement. The event takes place at Heart & Soul Center of Light, 5811 Racine Street, Oakland, CA on February 9th at 2:00pm. This highly celebrated show was created in 2012 by Gerald C. Rivers (Morehouse College Alumni) and Charles Holt (Rhodes College). Tickets are $20 per person early bird until 1/19 and $30 per person thereafter. Go here for tickets.
